I voted for an assortment of corrupted, simple minded woodland creatures, because as any evil over lord knows, one can not affoard to keep minions who have too much intelligence, and yet one must ensure that a slight inclination to intelligence remains, enough to inspire unquestioning loyalty. And of course, there must be a mind there to be corrupted.

Besides, after being forced to watch Bambi too many times...corrupting the innocents of the forest seems somewhat...appealing..
